Abstract :
Using wavelet transform provides the ability to display the spectral content of a signal as time elapses. A benefit related to wavelet functions is that they are localized both in frequency and time. ECG and MAP signals obtained from an anesthesized monkey were analyzed using both continuous wavelet transform and discrete wavelet transform (multiresolution analysis). A noise reduction method (“de-noising”) with soft thresholding was applied producing the ECG with remarkably reduced noise level
