  • Abstract
The computing precision of parameters for cold rolling influences the quality of steel strip heavily, and the tension calculation is one important parameter in this system. In the FGC(flying gauge change) process the frame exit thickness of strip would change from one size to another, the tension in the strip everywhere would be different. Then the tension model for stable condition rolling would not be fit in FGC, it must to build one new tension model for this special rolling process. Based on the study of tension model for stble conditon, a new tension model for FGC was deduced. With the real data collected and the debugging tool, the curve of tension data for some real rolling in FGC was analyzed. The experiments showed that the tension controlling had been greatly improved in the process.
