Abstract :
We demonstrate that nanoresonators on a VO2 thin film help amplify the available optical pump-terahertz probe transmission nonlinearity. With subpicosecond time scale of VO2 phase transition, dramatically enhanced ultrafast control of THz transmission is enabled by moderate optical pump while no switching dynamics is observed for bare VO2 films.
