Abstract
With the development of components at millimeter wave (mmW) and terahertz (THz) frequencies, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging has become a hotspot in research nowadays. However, most studies are based on measurements directly and some misunderstandings happened due to the lack of physical insight of the working principle. The purpose of this paper is to clarify some unsuitable conclusions in previous papers. The studies are supported by our in-house simulator. Both the calculation and discussions can be extended to THz frequencies.
