Abstract :
Algorithms for dynamic resource allocation in OFDM based wireless systems, known as Rate Adaptive optimization (RA), aim at maximizing the minimum rate of a user while satisfying a power constraint. Nowadays we can communicate with people who are at the most remote places. This has become possible thanks to the fact that technologies for mobile communications are continuously developing: from the analog mobile networks of the first generation (1G) to the third generation (3G). This paper studies the problem of resource allocation in a multiuser multicarrier communication system for the third generation (e.g WiMax, LTE). In this paper, the downlink of a single-cell OFDMA system is considered, and Rate Adaptive Optimization problem (RA) is investigated with minimum rate. Our work tries to find the optimal solution for RRM, and we considered different types of traffic (e.g. data, voice and video).
