Abstract :
Orthogonal On-Off Keying is proposed for free space laser communication. In the proposed technique, the input digital signal is mapped into a block of orthogonal code. The encoded data, which is in orthogonal space, modulates the laser beam by means of On-Off Keying. At the receive side, the data is recovered by means of code correlation. This modulation technique offers synchronization and error control coding without any additional circuits.
