Abstract :
Noah (network oriented applications harmony) is a software platform to develop distributed systems that are flexible and reusable. Noah provides a flexible mechanism of communication by masking distribution aspects and synchronization between application modules. Noah has a “field” concept to manage not only communication but also cooperation among application modules. The paper describes Noah´s basic concepts, architecture design, implementation, and application to office automation systems. The paper also presents Noah´s integration mechanism for legacy applications
