Abstract :
This work is focused on the results obtained in the framework of "GRID.IT" national project aimed at using HPT for EO applications. It is discussed the implementation and set up of a new HP processing system based on Grid and a novel High Performance Programming Environment (ASSIST). This High Performance Infrastructure is used to run a computational demanding EO algorithm: an inversion problem applied to vegetation biophysical parameter retrieving.
