Abstract :
Limited data on major earthquakes near coastlines show these occur in the morning. This implies that the solar position has a possible role in contributing to coastal quakes. Several quakes are listed by location, local time of quake, and lunar phase. Satellite-borne remote sensors now assessing volcanoes and other remote sensors may have potential in anticipating locations of major earthquakes.
