Abstract :
The phase shifted dual-mode laser diode (DML) is demonstrated for the optical beat source of continuous wave THz system. Optical beat frequency can be continuously tuned from 0.22 THz to 1.15 THz. High side mode suppression ratio of 40 dB is obtained through whole tuning range.
