Abstract :
A new physical model for a piezoelectric resonator having a nonlinear mechanical characteristic is presented together with its behavioral nonlinear circuit model. Both models correspond to the measured data describing: the small signal characteristic, the amplitude-frequency effect, and the frequency dependence of the second harmonic of the reflected power. The usefulness of these models in resonator and circuit design is discussed.
