Abstract
To improve the disturbance rejection performance of model predictive control (MPC) based feedback control system, this paper first presents an improved disturbance observer (IDOB) design method for the SISO nonminimum-phase delay system. Then, a compound control strategy is proposed to handle multivariable process with large process disturbances by combining the proposed IDOB and the MPC. At last, several simulations and comparisons have been performed to demonstrate the proposed control method for multivariable grinding circuit.
