Abstract
Hawkeyes is an advanced implementation of IP Geolocation utilizing measurement-based geolocation techniques along with a semantic-based approach. The accuracy of the result is directly related to the detection of nearby “landmarks” that can be referenced in the measurement of the target from a well known location. By developing a reliable, fast, current and accurate mapping of IP addresses to physical locations it is possible to provide advanced capabilities to international law enforcement agencies as well commercial organizations.
