  • Abstract
    Image registration is an important step of image fusion. In this paper we study the mathematic model of the image registration and the theory of wavelet transform. The image registration method based on the wavelet theory is put forward. An image is transformed into several levels using wavelet. According to biggest mutual information, the registration parameters of the approximate components in every level are calculated and finally image registration is realized through iterative. Experimental results show that this method is of high precision, reliability and has obvious advantages compared to the traditional methods.
