Abstract :
This paper shows that for certain multiple element antenna (MEA) geometries it is possible to completely decorrelate the antenna ports. For closely space antenna arrays the solution is equivalent to a superdirective array. Consequently, it is very limited in terms of the bandwidth, but the proposed solution can be applied to any antenna spacing and can be useful to increase the performance of MEA employed in MIMO systems
