Abstract :
A new numerical method for the eigenvalue problem of electromagnetic cavity based on the theory of vector partial differential operator is presented. The results show that there is no ´spurious modes´. The eigenvalue of the cavity for the lowest 20 modes are obtained without any forced penalty factor. Comparison to the traditional method shows that the present method can save a lot of computer time as well as with higher accuracy.
