Abstract :
A modified method for determining the four noise parameters of a microwave active device from single-source noise figure is proposed which eliminates the need for tuners and hence greatly reduces the complexity and cost of performing accurate noise figure measurement. The method also offers the extraction algorithm of four noise parameters based on the additional information of equivalent circuits of DUT and its two-port noise analysis models. Finally, an illustrative experiment is also made to demonstrate its validity.
