Abstract :
Utility engineers have long used the "GE Curve" for determining allowable flicker levels on their electrical systems. This has been done in spite of known limitations, quirks, and inconsistencies of that method. With the recent approval of IEEE 1453-2004, another option exists for the determination of flicker compliance. This paper describes one engineers experience in applying that document through the use of an actual case study
