Abstract
In this paper a new method of combining translation invariant (TI) and wavelet-threshold (WT) algorithm to resolve overlapping signals in proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS) is presented. First, the 1H-MRS spectrum signal was transformed into wavelet domain and its wavelet coefficients were obtained, Then, the translation invariant (TI) method and wavelet-threshold (WT) method were applied to separate the weak signals overlapped with the strong ones, Analysis of the simulation and in vivo data with this method has showed that weak signals could be obtained accurately and further the peak area of weak signals could be quantitatively calculated if combined with signal fitting.
