Abstract :
We have a demonstrated the terahertz radiation by the interaction between a laser created relativistic underdense ionization front and a sinusoidal electrostatic field. The central frequencies of the radiation are observed to from 0.2 to 0.6 THz at the laser intensity at 3.5 × 1014 W/cm2. Lower frequency component is independent of the plasma frequency and higher one is attributed to the radiation from DARC structure.
