Abstract :
A concise slow-wave structure, sine waveguide, is proposed to amplify the shorter millimeter wave through interacting with sheet electron beam. The sine waveguide has low ohmic loss, good transmission characteristics, besides easy fabrication. This paper reports the capability of beam-wave interaction when it operates from 130 GHz to 150 GHz. From the particle-in-cell simulation results, we can see that the sheet electron beam sine waveguide traveling-wave tube can produce up to 600 W at the center frequency of 140 GHz.
