  • Abstract
Noise figure, G/T, and E/sub b//N/sub 0/, are receiver figure of merits in terrestrial and satellite systems. These parameters can be measured using different techniques. This paper describes how to determine the above figure of merits from a single measurement, known as receive signal strength indicator (RSSI), defined within Qualcomm CDMA communication systems. Detailed formulation is presented. This technique can generate accurate results that allow the verification of receiver performance of a whole wireless phone including the antenna.
