Abstract :
The study on extended interaction oscillator (EIO) with sheet-beam, a compact, low voltage (~15kV) high power Terahertz radiation source is presented in this paper. The sheet beam interacts with the electromagnetic wave of TM31 at 2π working point. The power is output from the output window on the side of the cavity. The characters of the structure are investigated. The cathode voltage is 15kV, beam current is 0.2A, and the guiding magnetic field is o.8T, Simulation results show that at 0.225THz, the peak power of 600W can be achieved.
