Abstract :
A conceptual data schema specifies the structure of the ´data base´ for a computer based information system. Data stored in the data base bear information that the information system provides. Thus the schema is the major factor that determines the information system´s capability of providing information. In this paper, we propose four conditions for such information bearing capability, and then examine this capability´s quantitative aspect. The contribution of this work is that it deepens our understanding of an information system´s capability of providing information
