  • Abstract
A synthesis-method is introduced to design positive second generation current conveyors (CCII+s) by execution of two main procedures: synthesis of voltage followers (VF) by highlighting the addition of ideal biases, and synthesis of current biases by exploration on current mirror (CM) topologies. First, a VF and a negative current follower (CF-) which is synthesized by two CMs are selected to design a single resistance controlled oscillator. Second, a dual-output CCII (DOCCII) is synthesized by using the VF and the designed CF-, which is modified to generate a positive and a negative output. Third, a floating inductance is simulated by using one DOCCII, two CCII+s and one capacitor. Finally, a third-order low pass filter is designed by using the synthesized floating inductance.
