Abstract :
Various literatures have been published on the application of doubly fed induction generators for wind power generation. The wind turbines and the induction machines have their own inherent characteristics and literature on how the wound rotor induction generator behaves when coupled to the wind turbine together with its control, is limited. This paper discusses some aspects that should be considered when designing and control of wind power generating systems using DFIG
