Abstract :
The surface of pure titanium was coarsened by mixed acid, then the hydroxyapatite coatings were electrodeposited on the rough surface in modified simulated body fluid. The prepared hydroxyapatite coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), static contact angle meter, roughness tester, universal testing machine and other testing methods. The results showed that rough surface with Micron pore structure on the pure titanium was formed by acid etching. After electro deposition in modified simulated body fluid, the hydroxyapatite coatings deposited on the surface showed a relatively regular net-work structure, and has certain roughness, better surface wettability and greater shear strength.
