Title :
Computer processing of high resolution radar data at Naval Ocean Systems Center
Abstract :
The signal processing aspects of high-resolution radar (HRR) systems are discussed. Motion compensation techniques are included in the discussion. A general description is given of the computer equipment, the data products, and their applications at the US Naval Ocean Systems center. High-resolution radar data collection systems using stepped-frequency waveforms at S, X and Ku bands have been implemented. The targets are operational ships and aircraft. Computer processing of HRR data generates data products which include high-resolution range profiles and inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) images
