Abstract :
The synthesis of isobutyl propionate from prop ionic acid and isobutyl alcohol with rare earth solid super acid SO42-/TiO2/La3+ as environmentally friendly catalyst was studied. The influential factors of reaction were investigated. Results show that the appropriate conditions are: molar ratio of isobutyl alcohol to prop ionic acid was 2 : 1; Catalyst´s weight was 0.7g(the amount of 0.1 molar prop ionic acid), Cyclohexane is used as water-carrying reagent with 0.6 mL, Reaction time was 2.5 hour. The esterification rate of isobutyl propionate is about 98.68 %.
