Direct resistance heating has been demonstrated for the first time on a material known to be difficult to heat by any conventional means-clay slip. Full scale production trials in a high-quality ceramics manufacturer have shown that improved control of the mould delivery temperature of clay slip gives rise to substantial production increases resulting in very short payback periods
