Abstract :
It is when engineers step into management that they must raise their sights and understand where they want to go and the fact that this is a giant step towards leadership. The author describes how the question is how does one equip oneself to move towards leadership. There are some simple concepts, firstly have a fairly clear idea of where you are going and what you want to do and achieve at each step of your career. This does not mean having a definitive personal development and career development path. They do not and probably, in isolation, will never work. It does mean understanding your capability and where you want to realistically take it
