Abstract
In order to solve the reliability and security problems which are caused by the structural alteration to the traditional steering system, the fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control method for the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) of Steer-By-Wire (SBW) system is studied. The architecture of the dual-core fault-tolerant control system based on the mechanisms of distributed processing and exception decision is proposed. And hardware-in-the-loop simulation is done using the existing SBW system test rig. The simulation results show that the dual-core fault-tolerant control structure and coordination mechanisms are feasible. And, can be applied to the ECU fault-tolerant control of the SBW system, to effectively improve the reliability and security of the ECU in the SBW system.
