Abstract :
We review optical properties of borate crystals CsLiB6O10, GdxY1-xCa4O(BO3)3, CsB3O5, K2Al2B2O7, and BaAlBO3F2, which possess superior properties for UV light generation. The latest crystal growth and recent progress in UV light generation are also presented.
