Abstract :
In order to improve the reliability of the Composite Optical Encoder during wide temperature range, we have designed a new code slot of the Composite Optical Encoder with high precision. Firstly we will show the causations which influence the code slot to correct the coarse code. Secondly, we will reckon the range of the coarse code caused by the width of the code slot. Finally, we will design the code slot of the Composite Optical Encoder. It is proved that the new code slot could make the coarse signal steady and reliable during -40°C~+60°C. That is very important to improve the stabilization and the reliability of the Composite Optical Encoder.
