Abstract
A description is given of a digital servo processor, the μPD6353G, and a data processor, the μPD6354G, for compact disk (CD) systems. The μPD6353G uses digital loop filters for focusing, tracking, and sled, and the μPD6354G includes a 16-kb static RAM (SRAM); these appear to be firsts. These LSIs have been fabricated using all-CMOS technology. A reduced number of external components and power consumption and improved CD system performance have been achieved
