Abstract :
Availability is an important parameter index which illustrates the operational readiness of military aircraft. Aiming at the problem of military aircraft availability verification in the development stage, this paper puts forward a method of military aircraft availability verification based on simulation theory of system reliability which can verify whether the parameter index of availability has reached the specified value in the contract and Development Assignment Document (DAD). Based on analyzing the test data of reliability and maintainability (R&M), the distribution functions of failure and repair time in aircraft subsystems could be obtained. By using Failure Tree Analysis (FTA), the failure time of whole aircraft system could be determined. This paper demonstrates the verification model with the example of a new developed military aircraft to prove its feasibility.
