Abstract :
The paper discusses the working principle and architecture of UPQC. It described two control schemes for UPQC, for enhancing power quality of sensitive non-linear loads. Based on the different characteristics of series part and shunt part, two control schemes have been designed. Extensive results of digital computer simulation studies are presented to validate the proposed control strategies. The results indicates the control strategies has good applicated prospects.
