Abstract :
The time-dependence and randomness behavior of wear process were studied, it was found that this process was essentially a random process. Based on the empirical equation or regression equation, the basic flow on how to establish the model of wear random process was established. The distributed function of wear extent at any time has been deduced, so the life expectance of wear structural component would be predicted exactly. Finally, using test data, the wear random process model of pin - disc contact was built. The test result indicated that the model was proved to be significant and could be used to predict the wear trend. So a new wear quantification evaluation method can be introduced to engineering.
