Abstract :
A 10 Gbit/s receiver front-end for the use of optical transmission system was implemented with a pin PD and a preamplifier MMIC fabricated with AlGaAs/GaAs HBT technology. Design of preamplifier IC is described and test results of the receiver front-end, including sensitivity and frequency response, are presented
