Abstract :
The NPOESS CMIS instrument is a conical scan, passive microwave imager and sounder operating in the 6 to 250 GHz region. The mission of CMIS is to provide an operational capability for global, all-weather measurements of various atmospheric, land, and sea parameters. These environmental data products will be disseminated to military, civil, and international users of the data throughout the world
