Abstract :
A new method of the design of adiabatic optimum sectional waveguide tapers (OSWT) for quasioptical circular waveguides of the hollow dielectric waveguide (HDW) class is presented with the calculation formulas for an optimum, in terms of minimum extension and dissipation loss, subdivision of a parabolic taper into a finite number of linear sections. This method is validated by the comparison of the synthesized OSWT with the both linear and parabolic analogs
