Abstract :
This paper represents a test case for the IEEE 34-bus feeder with two squirrel cage induction generator based wind turbines installed. A commercial software package has been used to obtain the steady state and dynamic solutions for the test case. A generic dynamic model for the wind turbine consists of the squirrel cage induction generator model, the shaft two-mass model, and the pitch angle controller model has been used. Several case studies are presented to compare between solutions after and before installing the two wind turbines
