  • Abstract
    EXB841 gets the shortcomings as lack of gate-voltage, excessiveness of over-current protection threshold and long soft-shutdown time etc. According to the shortages, some improved managements were given. By improving the power supply of the module, adding external gate-voltage molding circuit and changing the external zener, not only the output gate-voltage was boosted, but also the over-current protection threshold and soft-shutdown time were modified. In addition, a novel circuit was designed to latch over-current signal, which improved the over-current protection. The simulation proved that the improved circuit overcomes the defects of EXB841. At the end of the paper, a series resonant IGBT induction heating power was designed based on the improved driving circuit.
