  • Abstract
A new fully automatic device for measurements of total ozone content is described. This device utilizes bandpass optical filters from standard color glass which have the following advantages: absence of stray light, small dimensions, simple construction. The ozonometer includes a light director, a rotating disc for installation 8 optical filters, UV photodetector, digitizer and control part based on IBM PC-compatible hardware and software. The measurement error of total ozone (TO) is 2 to 4%, this permits the device to be used for automatic global ozone network regular observation
