Abstract
The behaviour of ZVS-QRCs (quasi-resonant power converters), analyzed in previously published works is based on the assumption of equal input and output energies. Nevertheless measurements on experimental circuits demonstrate an important deviation between the results of theoretical analyses and the real behavioral characteristics of such power converters. In this paper, a novel method to approximate the behavioral characteristics of ZVS-QRCs is analyzed and an experimental study of different ZVS-QR topologies is presented. The main reasons for the discrepancy between theoretical and real characteristics are discussed
