Abstract :
A modular 1:16 waveguide divider is proposed. The divider is composed of 2 layers: the lower layer is a 1:4 waveguide divider, and in the second layer there are 4 1:4 waveguide dividers, where each of them is fed by the output port of the lower divider. This type of divider is suitable for feeding a 4 × 4 antenna array. The 1:16 divider was simulated, and the lower divider was simulated, constructed and measured. The simulated and measured bandwidth of the lower divider was 35% and the simulated bandwidth of the 1:16 divider was 25%, for SWR = 2. A very good agreement between simulation and measurement was achieved.
