Abstract
An Integrated Environment of Maintainability design and analysis was put forward based on Concurrent Engineering(CE) theory. As enabling technology and software platform for CE, the Product Lifecycle Management(PLM) could be regarded as the data source and the management platform of Maintainability design and analysis. After discussing the information requirements and Entity Relationship(ER) model of maintainability design and analysis, a solution of constructing integrated environment of maintainability design and analysis was presented, which includes five key steps or techniques: Overall design of integrated framework, configuring an environment of Maintainability design and analysis based on PLM; setting up a master model of maintainability information based on product tree; making an integration between the maintainability tools and PLM platform; setting up a process management model of Maintainability design and analysis based on PLM. Finally, selecting TeamCenter System and a certain type of naval gun, the integrated environment of maintainability design and analysis was realized and provided.
