Abstract
Impulse responses of auditory nerve fibers are characterized by frequency sweeps, or glides in instantaneous frequency. This property of the tuning of the auditory periphery influences the timing of action potentials of auditory nerve fibers. This study considers implications of these frequency glides for binaural mechanisms that involve temporal mechanisms
