Abstract
Describes the field-of-view (FOV) calibration of the Microwave Limb Sounder (MLS) on board NASA´s Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS). Calibration data are derived from measurements and analytical models, combined with in flight data. Particular emphasis is given to pointing calibration and estimation of far sidelobe levels and radiance offsets, using both the Moon and the residual signals when the FOV is pointed high above Earth´s atmosphere
