Abstract
The two lenses-antenna system was constructed and studied for the purpose of irradiation of biological objects (cancer cells) in vitro by sweeping in frequency in the range 75-110 GHz (W-band, λ=3-4 mm). The system consisting of the two Teflon lenses and pyramidal horn antenna produces a Gaussian beam of electromagnetic waves. The structure of the beam was mapped experimentally at the waist (by pyroelectric detector). The results indicate on the possibility of the formation of the effective (up to 80% of the total delivered power) spot of the diameter about ≤15 mm.
